The South Carolina State Barbeque Championship Award is distinctive as it recognizes the Team that earns the highest score over the course of a year and many competitions. Unfortunately, COVID-19 forced many event organizers to cancel their barbeque competitions in 2020, resulting in only six contests being held. With so few opportunities for teams to compete, the SCBA did not award a winner in 2020.
