The South Carolina Barbecue Association was founded in 2004 by Lake High, a professional wine judge and Walter Rolandi, PhD, a Human Factors Psychology professional.  The SCBA is a not for profit organization and exists to train the best BBQ judges in the world and to preserve and promote the unique nature of South Carolina Barbecue.
